The single most important principle in rodent control is this: trapping without exclusion is temporary maintenance, not lasting control. Every rodent program Bugsway delivers combines active population reduction with permanent structural exclusion — the combination that delivers lasting results rather than seasonal band-aids.

We use tamper-resistant bait stations positioned along rodent travel routes — beside walls, under appliances, and in utility spaces — which maximize rodent contact while minimizing risk to non-target animals. Snap traps are deployed in wall cavities and other confined spaces where bait stations are impractical. Follow-up visits check and replenish traps and stations, track population decline, and confirm when elimination is complete.

For entry point sealing, we use materials that rodents physically cannot chew through: 20-gauge galvanized hardware cloth, copper mesh (which doesn't compress like steel wool), and appropriate polyurethane sealant. We photograph every sealed entry point so you have a documented record of the work performed. Exclusion — physically sealing the entry points rodents use to access your home — is the only permanent solution to recurring rodent infestations. Sealing materials must be rodent-resistant — expanding foam and caulk alone are insufficient, as mice and rats chew through soft materials.
